Playground Pals presents the Playground Park Revamp Project
Playground Pals was formed by a small group of local moms and volunteers with one purpose: to bring an inclusive playground to Playground Park. What started as a simple idea grew into a community-wide effort fueled by generosity, determination, and a whole lot of heart. Today, we’re proud to say that vision is now a reality.
This playground was designed for ALL children and adults, featuring:
A poured-in-place foam surface for safety and accessibility Inclusive swings and equipment that are easy to reach and use Sensory-friendly features for children with autism Play elements for toddlers, big kids, teens, and adults Spaces that welcome strollers, wheelchairs, and caregivers alike
It’s a playground where everyone can participate — including wheelchair-using adults — and where families of all kinds can play together.
What’s Next: Thanks to this incredible community, the Playground Park Revamp reached and exceeded its $640,000 fundraising goal - including a dedicated long-term maintenance and resurfacing fund to protect this investment for years to come. Continued donations accepted for the Playground Park maintenance fund, ensuring the playground remains safe, accessible, and well cared for long into the future - Donate here..
While Playground Pals has completed its original mission, a few of us will continue supporting future Green Lake Parks & Recreation needs in a much lighter way. You’ll still see: Par for the Playground, now benefiting broader park projects (such as tennis courts and other recreational improvements) helping support ongoing park needs. Nothing on the scale of the playground - and we promise, no more relentless fundraising 😉 - just continued care for the parks that bring people together.
