Playground Pals presents the Playground Park Revamp Project
Our mission is to create an All-Inclusive Playground. At an inclusive playground children and of all abilities and disabilities can interact with each other and do what all kids do, PLAY!! We hope to create a park space that will welcome all families regardless of age, ability, or disability. We believe that investing in an inclusive playground can be a strategic boost for the Green Lake community. Playgrounds that truly welcome everyone will attract countless visitors to our area.
Playground Pals was formed with our sole purpose to create an inclusive playground at Playground Park. We truly believe that all kids regardless of their ability or disability deserve a fun place where they can play, swing and enjoy themselves.
Not only is our focus on children with disabilities, but ALL children and adults! Our playground will include a foam surface where it will be easy for toddlers to crawl around and climb on without worrying about them putting pebbles or woodchips in their mouth. A playground with safe swings which we don't have to worry about our children falling and monkey bars they can actually reach. A playground with sensory friendly items for those with autism. A playground with events that are stroller and wheelchair friendly. A playground where wheelchair bound adults can actually join in on the fun!
Any money donated will go directly to our park fund. We are looking to raise $670,000 which includes a $440,000 playground, a $200,000 fund for a 10 year surface replacement, and money needed for fundraising events. Any amount you are willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated and if you aren't able to contribute at this time, please share with your friends and family, it would mean the world to us.
The new playground invites 200 plus users from infants to adults, 45 play events, 4 shade seating structures, a foam surface that is wheelchair and stroller accessible CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE PLAY EVENTS IN DETAIL!
